Horticulture Labour Agreement
From Jan 2020, a new Industry agreement is in place for the Horticulture Industry Labour Agreement. The agreement is in to fill the skill shortages for the Horticulture industry.
Horticulture Labour Agreement can be used by Australian Employers to sponsor the overseas workers on a TSS subclass 482 and sponsor them for the permanent residency in the future.
Under this agreement, there is a list of 31 approved occupations including the Motor Mechanic, Mechanical Engineer, Quality Assurance Manager Occupations, Farm Worker, Agronomist, Nurseryperson and so on. Under this agreement, there is a concession on the TSMIT salary range and English score requirement and age limit of up to 50 years of age.
A positive skill assessment is required for each occupation from the relevant assessing body.
